Melanie Odelle (Curran) is a writer and musician based in New York. She plays music as Western Female. Her first album, Hot Sauce in Kitsap County, is about life in her homeland of the Pacific Northwest. She is a Fulbright fellow to France, where she will be writing about the traditional music community of Finistère, Bretagne. She is a current MFA candidate at The New School, and is at work on a novel about family, death, and New York City.
