Melanie Odelle is a writer and musician from a small island in the Pacific Northwest. Her first album, Hot Sauce in Kitsap County, made ripples locally. Her essays have been published in Writing American Cultures: Studies of Identity, Community, and Place. She is an MFA candidate at The New School, and currently lives in New York.
